Manchester United fans won’t have to wait long before they see the get to see the club show off in the transfer market
As reported by BBC, Manchester United will be able to ‘flex their muscle’ in the transfer market starting from the 2025/26 season. Next season’s profit and sustainability rules are already in place.
So, the Red Devils will have a difficult time spending with a free hand since they failed to get that extra cash injection from the Champions League this season. However, the team will make do with what they have.
It is expected that Man United will be listening to offers for almost everyone except Rasmus Hojlund, Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, Diogo Dalot and Andre Onana. Bruno Fernandes also seems safe at the moment but BBC says that an outrageous offer make United pull the trigger.
Amongst those who are definitely leaving the club are two Frenchman, Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial both of whom will be out of contract at the end of the season. However, these two will be leaving on a free transfer so the club won’t make any money through them.
On a more positive note, a sale for Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho would help the team raise a ton of money. This can be injected back into the project to help the team land the many targets that they’ve been linked to in recent days.
While the rebuild or squad overhaul will kick off this summer, it won’t be till the 2025/26 season before we see Man United looking like their best. Even that could change if next season is another failure like the current one.
