Henry Winter confirms that the future of a ‘massively important’ Manchester United star is in doubt
As said by Journo, Henry Winter while speaking on Sky Sports’ podcast, ‘massively important’ Manchester United star, Bruno Fernandes would be amazed if the club decided to move on from him this summer.
The Portuguese midfielder has been perhaps the best player to wear the Red this season. He has made 45 appearances recording a total of 15 goals and 11 assists for his team. The skipper has truly been leading from the front.
But United have huge plans for the summer and at this point, only Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo are safe from being moved. However, Henry Winter thinks otherwise, let’s have a look. (Sky Sports)
“We’ve seen the headlines over the last few days that basically only three players are safe – Kobbie Mainoo, Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho. But I’m sure Bruno Fernandes is.I mean, at least he cares.”
Winter added that Fernandes might not be a traditional Manchester United captain like the ones we’ve seen in the past. However, he definitely cares and that much is clear to see by how much he moans to the referees each game.
He is also often the only United player who shows any urgency when the team is not in possession. A lot of people critique him for his onfield antics but whoever sees him play has to agree that Fernandes fights for the badge.
The Red Devils are in short supply of players who are willing to but their bodies on the line for the team. However, their skipper is someone who doesn’t hesitate and does what needs to be done.
