Manchester United loanee, Jadon Sancho ‘hasn’t proved anything’ says pundit
Manchester United loanee, Jadon Sancho has been enjoying a fine return to form during his second stint with Borussia Dortmund. The 24-year-old was shipped out on a loan deal after he was axed from the Old Trafford squad following a public falling out with manager, Erik ten Hag.
Ever since that day Sancho has been facing a lot of criticism and some have even questioned his ability as a player. However, the 24-year-old has replied to his critics by playing good football.
Sancho has been a fantastic pickup for Dortmund who now find themselves in the UCL semifinals thanks to his key contributions. However, pundit Louis Saha is still not convinced. Here’s what the former Red Devil had to say about the situation. (h/t Manchester Evening News)
“I don’t believe he’s [Sancho] proving any point,”
“The only point he’s proving is that he’s a talented player and if he wasn’t stubborn, he could have been doing what he’s doing for Borussia Dortmund for Manchester United now. He hasn’t proven anything.”
Saha added that Manchester United already know about Sancho’s level as a player. The 24-year-old was only axed from the first team before he decided to call out his manger in public which in hindsight was a terrible decision.
So while the fans may be singing praises of his recent form and how he is ‘proving himself’, All Manchester United loanee, Sancho is really doing is playing up to his expected levels. A club as big as Man United will not tolerate indiscipline no matter how good of a player you are.
The Red Devils even terminated the contract of Cristiano Ronaldo back when he was stirring up trouble. So, a few good performances are in no way enough for Sancho to prove a point.
