Dwight Yorke urges Man United not to sell Marcus Rashford amid PSG links
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News via TVSportGuide, Dwight Yorke has stated that he does not want Manchester United to sell Marcus Rashford in the summer.
Another season of middling performances has turned a fair few United faithful against the England international, and many are warming up to the idea of letting him leave.
The 52-year-old United legend insists that Rashford has years ahead of him and can turn things around.
“Marcus Rashford is 26 years old, he still has time, why wouldn’t you give, arguably, your best player time? Okay, he’s not performed like the best player at the club recently, but why would you sell him, unless he wants to move himself? A hard conversation needs to be held with Rashford by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Erik ten Hag or the manager next season, to figure out what he wants to do.
“You want to hear from Rashford’s mouth ‘I want to stay and fight at the club’. He’s 26 years old, coming into his prime, why would you get rid of him? There’s still so much more to come from the kid, it’s a load of nonsense if anyone wants to sell him now. He can still turn it around.”

After his 30-goal season last year, many believed Rashford had finally turned things around, but this year the numbers posted by the England international have been underwhelming once again.
Paris Saint-Germain have been lurking in the background for a while to potentially rope in Rashford as the outgoing Kylian Mbappé’s replacement.

A ship that could sail either way
In business, hard calls need to be made quite often, and football is no different in that regard.
Compelling arguments can be made for both the continuation of Rashford at Old Trafford and moving him on to pastures anew. Both those options have their respective pros and cons.
Club fans will usually never want a homegrown talent to leave, and Rashford’s critics will go after him regardless of whether he stays at United or not.
The bottom line, however, is that as a decision-maker you can make all the hard, mostly unlikeable calls you want if the ensuing results are favourable. That’s how Pep Guardiola was able to send club legend Joe Hart packing from Man City weeks after arriving at the Etihad.
