Pundit rips into Manchester United forward, Antony
Manchester United forward, Antony was clearly happy about his team beating Coventry City in the FA Cup semifinals. The game went onto penalties after the Championship side came down from down 3-0.
After their hard-fought comeback, the Coventry City players and fans were right to be taunting Man United as the two teams continued to battle it out during the penalty shootout.
Antony gave them a taste of their own medicine and mocked the players and fans after Rasmus Hojlund hit his penalty to take Manchester United over to the finals. Clinton Morrison delivered a brutal verdict on the Brazilian following his actions. Let’s have a look. (h/t The Daily Mail)
“He needs to concentrate on himself because he could be playing the Championship next season”
Morrison might even be right about Antony’s future which makes his verdict all the more real. Following some persuasion from Erik ten Hag, The Red Devils paid £85m for the Brazilian and haven’t even come close to getting that much value out of him.
He has only scored 10 times in 78 games. This season he has registered no goals at all in the Premier League. His stock has fallen and Antony is now quickly running out of options as talk suggests United could move on from him.
If United let him go, Antony might just find himself out of options. Not a lot of teams will be willing to pay for a forward who plays 77 games and scores just 10 goals.
