Manchester United star, Casemiro was proud of Manchester United’s ‘response’ to rivals Liverpool
Manchester United star, Casemiro made his thoughts known following his team’s game against Liverpool. The Brazilian mentioned that his team’s performance this season has led to a lot of sleepless nights for him.
He then went on to speak about the game against the Reds and said that he was proud of the ‘response’ that Manchester United gave to Liverpool. Let’s have a look at what else he had to say (h/t ESPN)
“The game [vs. Liverpool] was very fast-paced and well played. A classic. We were playing against one of the leaders of the competition and who is going through a good moment. We responded well,”
Casemiro went on to mention that Man United is strong at home but they were up against Liverpool. There is no doubt that Jurgen Klopp’s men are tough opponents to deal with. All things considered, Erik ten Hag’s side did well to steal one point away from the Reds.
However, the Brazilian had a mediocre game, to say the least. Casemiro only managed to complete 69% of his passes that night and only won five out of his eleven duels. The 32-year-old’s game has surely taken a step back.
It is no wonder that Casemiro is constantly subject to talk suggesting a move away from Old Trafford. His age has caught up with him and the Brazilian is no longer as sharp as he used to be. Moreover, his presence is barely felt in the middle of the park.
Apart from a good few passes and a few tackles here and there, nothing is redeemable about the Brazilian’s recent performances.
