Manchester United suffer a huge transfer blow as Real Madrid are willing to keep Vinicius Junior regardless of the offer size
Real Madrid are willing to refuse any offer for Vinicius Junior amid interest from Manchester United to sign him. Vinicius has established himself as one of the best forwards in the world at both the club and international level.
The dazzling winger has shown his versatility to play as a left winger and as a centre-forward for Los Blancos. Despite his young age, the 23-year-old has played a pivotal role in winning numerous trophies including the Champions League.
The Brazilian has also won La Liga and FIFA Club World Cup twice, Copa Del Rey and UEFA Super Cup. He has played a pivotal role this season as Real leads the La Liga table with an eight-point advantage over Barcelona.
Vinicius has made 28 appearances in all competitions for Real, contributing with 18 goals and eight assists this season. However, the Brazil international has been visibly unhappy with the racial abuse that he has suffered in the league. His unhappiness also stems from Real’s poor handling of racism and inability to support him with conviction.
The Mirror reported in January that United targeted Vinicius amid his unhappiness in Spain. However, Defensa Central stated that Real has no intention of letting the 23-year-old leave the club even for €200 million.
The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League table, 12 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa. Their pursuit for the top-four finish suffered greatly when they conceded two late goals against Chelsea to lose.
United’s attack department has struggled with goals this season and when they applied a defensive approach, it got nullified. Marcus Rashford has failed to repeat his last season’s prolific form and his work rate has faced severe criticism.
