Manchester United not scared by Juventus star’s £43m release clause

Manchester United have ramped up their pursuit of a Juventus star

As reported by The Mirror (h/t ESPN), Manchester United are seriously looking at acquiring Juventus star, Gleison Bremer this summer. The 27-year-old has a £43m release clause but the Red Devils seem to be unfazed.

Bremer has made 29 appearances for the Serie A giants this season and is considered by many to be one of the best defenders in Italy. He would provide a big boost to the Old Trafford squad who have a relatively weak defence.

A lot of Manchester United’s biggest names are expected to leave the team this summer. Raphael Varane’s contract is running out and a new deal doesn’t seem to be on the table for the Frenchman.

Harry Maguire who is an Old Trafford veteran could also leave next year. Maguire’s contract is running out in 2025 and the team will likely not want him to leave for free. Last but not least, there has been a lot of talk suggesting that Casemiro will also be on his way out.

It is clear to see that Manchester Untied will need some massive reinforcements in defence. Bremer could be the first of many. His tall frame of 1.88m makes him an excellent shot blocker.

Moreover, Bremer is extremely composed on the ball and can move the ball up if need be. The 27-year-old would be a very welcome addition to the Old Trafford squad.
