Manchester United star, Raphael Varane took to Instagram to deliver a strong message to FIFA. The French star replied to the organisation’s post highlighting their plans to combat racism in football.

However, FIFA has long been trying to curb the issue to no avail. Racism is still prevalent in the game in 2024. Many consider this to be a failure by FIFA and all the leaders of the sport spread around the world.

Just recently Real Madrid superstar, Vinicius Junior was subjected to racist chants during a game. Real Madrid vowed to take action and did not take matters lightly. Things are bad when even the biggest names in the sport are not safe from hate.

With this in mind, Varane also seems to have sent a warning towards FIFA president, Gianni Infantino. He wrote that players will be following the organisation’s efforts closely and expect to see change.

We as fans of the game can all agree that Football is the most beautiful sport in the world. However, such hateful behaviour towards students of the game is a big stain on the game’s beauty.

Varane also mentioned that just like the fans expect them to entertain them. The players also look up to the leaders to fight for them and do good for the sport. FIFA has finally decided to take concrete steps towards eradicating racism in the game.
