Man United starlet is being gifted a new deal with the club for his 17th birthday
Manchester United starlet, Shea Lacey is one of the most exciting young talents in England at the moment. The 2007-born star has garnered interest from a number of clubs around the world. But, his future seems to be at Old Trafford.
As confirmed by Manchester Evening News, the 16-year-old will be signing a new deal with the club on his 17th birthday. This deal comes as a gift for his continued excellence and hard work on the pitch.
If all goes according to plan we could even see Lacey being called up to the first team sometime next season. It is expected that the completion of his signing will be announced on 14th April.
Will Shea Lacey be the next Manchester United starlet to break through?
The Red Devils have seen a number of their youngsters burst onto the scene in recent years. Marcus Rashford who many consider to be United’s most important player was an academy product as well.
This season alone we have seen the emergence of Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho. Both players came out of the academy and have played a key role in Manchester United’s campaign this year.
It is clear to see that the team doesn’t hesitate their young talents if they’re worthy. So, Lacey being as good as he is can easily be expected to start making some first-team appearances soon.

However, the team probably won’t be taking a risk on him without a test. Manchester United could send the youngster out on loan to get some experience under his belt.
