Arsenal and Manchester United are ready to go head-to-head to sign Real Madrid star Rodrygo during the upcoming summer window. The 23-year-old has attracted interest from several other top European clubs including Paris Saint-Germain due to his immense reputation.
Rodrygo is versatile enough to play as a right winger and as a centre-forward, where he featured regularly this season. Standing at 1.74 metres, the Brazil international has a low centre of gravity, close control and incredible dribbling ability.
He uses the attributes alongside his deceptive strength to beat opponents and keep possession in tight spaces. The 23-year-old has the flair and game intelligence to make a well-timed run around the spaces in the opposition’s defence.
Despite his technique and ability, Rodrygo is a strong team player and works hard for his teammates, making selfless decisions. The Brazilian has made 41 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions, contributing with 13 goals and eight assists.
According to Defensa Central (h/t Fichajes), Arsenal and Man United are ready to battle each other for Rodrygo. Top European clubs have shown high interest in the 23-year-old, regarding him as one of the brightest young talents in the world currently. Real Madrid reportedly values him at €120 million, attracting interest from other clubs.
United have struggled with productivity in front of goals as their attackers suffered from inconsistency and poor performances. Anthony Martial has struggled with form throughout this season and he will leave for free during the summer.
Furthermore, Antony has failed to live up to the high price that the Red Devils paid for him. Marcus Rashford has also struggled to recreate his last season’s form, creating more trouble for United.
