Erik ten Hag says Manchester United is ‘back’ following win over Everton

Manchester United took on Everton tonight and got away with the result they wanted. The team got a much-awaited comfortable victory as they beat their opponents 2-0. The Red Devils could’ve scored more but as always the forward line was wasteful.

Alejandro Garnacho won two penalties for United which helped them get the win. However, the 19-year-old was very wasteful in front of goal and should’ve scored one himself. Nonetheless, United got the three points and now needs eight more to catch up to the top four.

Erik ten Hag was elated with his team’s performance but said that he wants his team to be more composed during games. Let’s have a look at what the Dutchman had to say to his Premier League rivals. (h/t BBC)

“We had one bad result against Fulham in this calendar year. We had to put this right and keep the pressure on the teams above us.”

“Now we are back. We will keep pressure on them and see what happens.”

Ten Hag says he wants to keep the pressure up on every team that is above them on the table. The Dutchman realizes that every game from now on is a must-win. Failure will end their hopes of competing in European competitions next season.

Ten Hag might be right about his team being back. Mason Mount is only a few days away from returning. Tyrell Malacia is expected to follow soon after. Last but not least, Rasmus Hojlund is also close to a comeback.

Hojlund will provide some much-needed firepower when he comes back.

The young Dane is the most important out of the bunch and will give the Red Devils some much-needed firepower up front.
