Loan spell continues to waste as Manchester United loanee, Dan Gore is yet to play a minute at Port Vale

Things have not gone to plan for Manchester United loanee, Daniel Gore. The 19-year-old was shipped out on a loan in January. However, the English midfielder hasn’t played a single minute ever since he made his debut for Port Vale.

Gore saw 54 minutes of action against Portsmouth and has been on the sidelines ever since because he picked up an injury. Despite having the option to travel back to Old Trafford the 19-year-old has been biding his time in Carrington.

Manchester Evening News reports that the original timeline for Gore’s return was for a month. Now, the English midfielder has been out for more than a month which means his return could be right upon us.

Dan Gore has been highly rated at Manchester United since his Academy days. He was part of the youth squad that lifted the FA Cup back in 2021/22. Also on that team were young Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.

Once he’s back and playing at his level best Dan Gore could produce similar results to both 18-year-old Mainoo and 19-year-old Garnacho. The Red Devils have desperately been looking for a creative spark in their middle line.

Mason Mount was supposed to provide, however, injuries have forced him to be away for extended periods. If Gore develops well then the Old Trafford squad could end up having a homegrown playmaker on the squad.
