Victor Osihmen to Manchester United gains backing from an Arsenal legend
There has been a lot of talk surrounding Victor Osimhen and his links to Manchester United. The 25-year-old has been impressive for Napoli this season and has garnered interest from multiple Premier League clubs.
In 22 appearances, the Nigerian has scored 13 goals and four assists. He was also on the score sheet during Napoli’s UCL matchup against FC Barcelona. The 25-year-old scored a goal to get his team level with the Catalan side.
As reported by The Sun, Arsenal legend, Emmanuel Petit backs Victor Osimhen to join Manchester United during the summer. Let’s take a look at what the former French defender had to say about the situation.
“I think Osimhen will move somewhere else, like PSG or Manchester United.”
This doesn’t mean that the Red Devils can offer Osimhen something that the Gunners can’t. Petit clarified that he believes Evan Ferguson will be making his way over to Arsenal this summer.
He says that adding Ferguson to the wings would do wonders for the effectiveness of Gabriel Jesus who lacks composure when faced with the opponent’s goal. On the other hand, Osimhen would do wonders for the attacking line of Erik ten Hag.
Apart from Rasmus Hojlund, there is no solid striker on the team. Signing Osimhen will fill that gap for the Red Devils.
