Relegation threatened Sheffield United eyeing Manchester United starlet Will Fish
According to a report by HITC Football, Sheffield United are looking at Manchester United Academy graduate Will Fish ahead of the 2024 summer transfer window.
The Blades could be thinking about the life back in the Championship, following their ongoing struggles in the Premier League. The Blades have so far found the top flight difficult to negotiate.
Will Fish is 21-year-old defender who is currently on loan at Scottish side Hibernian. He has been growing with the ongoing season. He joined the Edinburgh based club on a season long loan from Manchester United in the summer for the second time in as many seasons.
The centre-back has went on to make 36 appearances for Hibernian this season. Two of those came against Unai Emery’s Aston Villa. Will Fish got invaluable European football experience early in the season. He also faced Aston Villa in the Europa Conference League for a couple of times.
Before leaving on loan to Hibernian, Will Fish spent the pre-season for the ongoing campaign with Manchester United. He featured in the Red Devils’ pre-season squad that travelled to North America. He featured in friendly fixtures against Leeds United, Lyon and League Two outfit Wrexham.
Will Fish becoming a key in Hibernian defence
The 21-year-old has made himself a key part of Nick Montgomery’s defence. He excels in defensive actions. Will has a high success rate in interceptions and defensive duels.
He is not only good at recovering the ball but also very potent with the ball. He can make forward passes from the back with high accuracy.

His antics in Scotland has earned clubs vying for his signatures. It is understood that with Sheffield United there are also other championship clubs eyeing his services.
Any decision on his future will be made when the summer comes. Till then he needs to focus on his development at Hibernian.
