Manchester United to compete with Barcelona for Guido Rodriguez
Manchester United will be in the market for a new defensive midfielder in the upcoming summer transfer window and could compete with Barcelona for Guido Rodriguez.
The Red Devils are said to be preparing for Casemiro to be sold owing to his underwhelming performances since moving to England. Amarnat is on loan at Manchester United and it doesn’t look like his loan deal will be made permanent at Old Trafford.
Defensive midfield has been an area of concern for the Reds from Manchester for a while.
There have been many players linked with that prestigious move to Manchester United in the rumour mill. Guido Rodríguez is another name that is being linked with a move to Manchester United.
The Betis goodbye
Guido Rodríguez’s contract with Real Betis runs down at the end of the ongoing season. It is said that he will not be renewing his stay with Real Betis.
Since 1st January Guido Rodríguez has been free to negotiate with any club as he is under the last six months of his contract.
Guido Rodríguez has played 163 games for Real Betis and has been an ever-present presence in the midfield.
A red carpet move
Manchester United are said to be eyeing to sign Guido Rodríguez on a free transfer. Along with the Red Devils, the likes of Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are also interested in the Argentine midfielder. It will be interesting to see how Manchester United pushes Guido Rodríguez to sign and how he will fit in at Old Trafford.
