Manchester United are planning to beat Real Madrid as the team is now aiming to sign a French superstar
As reported by Metro, Manchester United are planning to overtake La Liga giants Real Madrid in their race to sign French superstar, Kylian Mbappe.
The 25-year-old has long been linked to a move to Real Madrid. Los Blancos submitted two bids for the French national last summer but to no avail. Now, Mbappe has informed Paris Saint-Germain that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
All signs currently point towards him going to Real Madrid. However, Manchester United are trying their best to hijack the deal and bring him over to Old Trafford. French publication Le10Sport reports that both Liverpool and United have tabled bids for the player.
However, there has been some talk that Mbappe will be expecting a wage of around €700,000 a week, which is ridiculous, to say the least. Moreover, the Red Devils already have a very good talent in Rasmus Hojlund.
Signing the French superstar will hurt the Dane’s growth and will force him to take up a secondary role on the team. It will also be demotivating for the 21-year-old.
However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS will see their stock skyrocket amongst the fans if they can successfully bring Kylian Mbappe over to Old Trafford. Moreover, there won’t be a lot of complaints from the fans if Hojlund is benched in favour of the French Superstar.
