Though, as Cristiano Ronaldo once said, “Goals are like Ketchup, when they arrive, they arrive all at once.”
Rasmus Højlund has experienced so. He is now making history following his brace against Luton Town as he became the youngest-ever player in the Premier League to score goals in six consecutive games in the English top flight.
This is not the first time when a Manchester United striker finds himself in the record books. A fan favourite in Ruud van Nistelrooy found the net in 10 consecutive games for the Red Devils back in March to August 2003. However, that was taken over by Jamie Vardy when he scored for 11 successive games in Leicester City’s title bid in 2015/16.
The duo of CR7 and Eric Cantona also scored successive six goals. Ronaldo did so in 2008 while Cantona did in 1996.
