As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United are still interested in Joshua Zirkzee but have also ‘intensely analysed’ Bayern Munich’s young star, Mathys Tel.
In fact, things have got so far that the club have already contacted French Star’s management and have inquired whether a summer transfer is in the books or not. The 18-year-old has recorded six goals and three assists in 27 appearances this season.
However, Tel still seems to be focused on his future with Bayern Munich. But, a lot could change by the time summer arrives. Moreover, his contract will run till 2027 and that will increase the price for the Red Devils.
Also, one has to wonder why would Man United be looking to sign a young and exciting LW when they already have Marcus Rashford. The Manchester-born star has been linked to Paris Saint-Germain in recent days, and the arrival of a young star could accelerate his exit.
As far as the prospect of signing Joshua Zirkzee goes, he would be an excellent second option behind Rasmus Hojlund. With Anthony Martial’s future at Old Trafford hanging in the balance, the 22-year-old is exactly the kind of signing that United need to make.
While 21-year-old, Hojlund has recorded 11 goals and two assists this season. 22-year-old Zirkzee has recorded nine goals and six assists. The Man United offence will be a force to be reckoned with if they can sign and develop the Dutch forward along with their Danish star.
