Erik ten Hag has provided an injury update on Manchester United full-back ahead of Luton Town clash
Manchester United will be looking forward to maintaining their good form as they take on Luton Town tonight. A win will get them to within five points of the Premier League top four.
Erik ten Hag would prefer to put forward his strongest squad for such an important game. However, from the looks of it, their injury struggles still aren’t over.
The team is still missing Mason Mount, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Lisandro Martinez, Anthony Martial, and Tyrell Malacia. 24-year-old Malacia was supposed to be back in the squad by now. However, not everything has gone according to plan for Man United.
Let’s have a look at what the Dutchman had to say about the Malacia situation. (h/t The Mirror)
“Yeah, he had setbacks during his rehab process. It takes too long, it’s bad for him. Bad for us.”
However, it’s not all bad news for Manchester United as Ten Hag added that Malacia has turned a new leaf in his rehabilitation and is expected to be back in action soon.
But soon can’t arrive quick enough and he will be missing the game against Luton Town. But, the Dutchman does expect the 24-year-old to be back in team training soon.
Another player that the Red Devils will be missing for tonight’s game is Mason Mount. Fans expected him to be back for the game but Erik ten Hag still thinks it’s too soon.
