Erik ten Hag believes playing away against Luton will be a ‘test of character’ for his Manchester United team
Erik ten Hag is expecting his Manchester United team to have a tough time against Luton Town. The Dutchman has been on quite a roll in 2024 but hasn’t let himself or his team be complacent.
Luton Town may only be one rank above the relegation zone. However, much like the Red Devils, they have also been enjoying a rich vein of form and have won three out of their last five games.
Another thing worth noting about this team is their performance in losses. While they do lose a lot of games, it is almost always only by a single goal or so.
Let’s have a look at what Erik ten Hag had to say about his upcoming matchup. (h/t Manchester United)
We have to go from game to game, every game is, for us, a cup final. And definitely this is a big test for us, a big test of character.
The Dutchman added that lately, the team has really amped up their performance levels on the pitch. So, the Dutchman is right to expect an uphill battle as they take Luton Town on in an away game.
Erik ten Hag will be looking forward to a big game from Marcus Rashford. The Manchester-born star was slowly getting back into form but has cooled down as of late. Hopefully, he will be the point of difference against Luton.
Erik ten Hag has also said that he expects his team to play every game for the rest of the season like it is a final.
