Manchester United have been following the performances of Luton Town and are now wary of their good form. The Hatters are now starting to look like a formidable opponent to the Dutchman and his Red Devils.

With this in mind, the team is not making the mistake of being complacent. Manchester United might be one of the biggest clubs in England but their performance this season has not been worthy of that title.

Erik ten Hag is aware of this and has done well to not underestimate any of his opponents. Moreover, Luton Town have been a thorn in the side of a lot of big teams this season.

Liverpool barely managed to tie against Liverpool during their game in November.

League leaders Liverpool struggled against them and were barely able to get away with a tie, thanks to Luis Diaz’s 95th-minute winner. Even Arsenal struggled hard and only managed to win the game in the 97th minute.

The Hatters might not score a ton of goals but they do protect their own goal with an unseen tenacity. Manchester United have already struggled to score goals this season and things could get worse against Luton.

United’s attacking line of Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund cannot afford to be wasteful against this team. There will likely be only a handful of opportunities created and the Red Devils must capitalise.

Both Elija Adebayo and Carlton Morris have been in fine form, the United defence needs to pressure these players and minimise the threat that they pose.
