Former English footballer, Paul Merson has been very impressed with in-form Manchester United star, Rasmus Hojlund. He believes that the Danish striker will grow to be a superstar one day.

21-year-old Hojlund caught a lot of flak from the media during the start of the season. However, his critics have been very silent now that the Red Devils are winning games thanks to the Dane’s newfound form.

In his last five Premier League appearances, Hojlund has recorded five goals and two assists. His impressive production during the second half of the season has brought a lot of people over to his side.

The latest of the bunch is Paul Merson, let’s have a look at what he had to say about the Dane during his conversation with Sky Sports.

“He’s got confidence now, football is all about confidence”

Merson is not wrong about Hojlund’s spike in confidence. The 21-year-old looked awkward in front of goal during his first dozen Premier League games. However, ever since he got his first goal against Aston Villa, the Dane has looked like a different player.

His growth was on full display during United’s game against West Ham. He juked two defenders to the right and made a run to find the bottom corner.
