Here’s what Getafe boss had to say about Manchester United loanee, Mason Greenwood and Jude Bellingham controversy
Real Madrid star, Jude Bellingham has landed himself in some trouble for allegedly directing an offensive remark towards Manchester United loanee, Mason Greenwood.
The incident took place when Getafe hosted Real Madrid for a La Liga clash this past week. 22-year-old Greenwood was Getafe’s best player on the pitch during the game and has even been protected by boss Jose Bordalas.
The Spanish manager broke his silence regarding the whole situation and went on to say that Mason is a great man who respects everyone and deserves the same. La Liga are now investigating the incident.

“I know the same thing that you know. It’s not up to me, it’s the club, La Liga and the Federation that have to make an assessment about it.”
“The only thing that I can say is that I ask for (is) respect for Mason Greenwood because he is a great guy”
The Spanish coach then went on to say that Greenwood has shown exemplary behaviour. The 22-year-old seemed to be unaffected by the situation and fired back at his critics by performing on the pitch during the next game.
Greenwood scored a penalty during the eighth minute of Getafe’s game against Real Betis. He also showed a flash of brilliance during the game as he beat multiple defenders to get into the box, but failed to convert.
Greenwood has now scored seven goals while also recording four assists in just 22 appearances for Getafe.
