Manchester United will face competition from Man City as both teams are preparing to pursue French playmaker
As reported by The Daily Mail, Manchester United and Man City are both interested in French playmaker Michael Olise. It seems like both rivals will now be butting heads during the summer.
The Sun has claimed that the 22-year-old is a big transfer target for the Blues. The Red Devils’ interest in Olise is well documented so it is fair to say that the Old Trafford management will provide fierce competition to their rivals.
Moreover, the French star will likely not choose to go with Man City, since he is likely to get more playing time under Erik ten Hag.
In just 11 appearances this season, Olise has already recorded six goals and three assists for Crystal Palace. This level of production will surely provide a great boost to the Manchester United offense.
While Erik ten Hag does have both Alejandro Garnacho and Antony to deploy on the right wing, both of these players cannot match Olise’s level of production. Moreover, Antony might even get moved during the summer, if he doesn’t start performing soon.
The Red Devils are expected to make changes at all levels during the summer. Signing the French Playmaker will be a good start. Moreover, stealing him away from Manchester City will surely make a lot of people happy.
