The Saudi authorities have gotten involved in transfer talks between Karim Benzema and Manchester United
As reported by French publication L’Équipe, Manchester United will have a really difficult time signing Karim Benzema. The Old Trafford squad has been desperate to bolster their attacking line.
The Frenchman seems to be the prime candidate for this task. However, the news has now spread that Benzema has been unhappy during his time in the Saudi Pro League. This could be bad for the Saudi league which has only recently entered the limelight.
The Saudi authorities are adamant on keeping the former Real Madrid superstar within the country. They want to ensure that if a transfer is to take place, it only happens within the country.
This comes as a blow for both Chelsea and the Red Devils who were hoping to get Benzema over to the Premier League. Manchester United would do a lot better with a world-class striker like him.
Despite being 36 years old, the Frenchman has recorded 12 goals and five assists this season. Moreover, his experience will be a great boon to the development of young Rasmus Hojlundhttp://weallfollowunited.com/tag/rasmus-hojlund.
However, with just one day remaining in the transfer window, it has now become highly unlikely that Manchester United will be able to seal a deal for Karim Benzema.
