Manchester United star was partying and then missed training ahead of the FA Cup fourth round

Manchester United are all set to take on Newport County for an FA Cup matchup today. Considering this is the team’s last chance at silverware this season, Erik ten Hag would be right to expect all of his players to be working hard.

However, Marcus Rashford seemed to have plans of his own. The 26-year-old was seen partying on Thursday night. If he was just partying it would’ve been no issue at all, however, Rashford ended up missing training the next morning due to ‘illness’.

As reported by The Sun, the 26-year-old didn’t make it back at night and took an early flight on Friday morning to rush back to Manchester. However, despite being in the city the English striker failed to show up for practice.

Rashford has already been in the crosshairs of the media this season. In 26 appearances the English forward has only managed to score four goals for his team.

While it was earlier dismissed as a mere drop in form, the narrative could now evolve to be his lack of discipline. Moreover, this isn’t even the first time that the 26-year-old has been spotted partying at an unfortunate time.

Rashford was also spotted partying after United’s historic 3-0 loss against Bournemouth. If after all this he fails to perform in the game against Newport, the 26-year-old will be in for a hell of a media circus.

Rashford’s situation reminds people of Neymar Junior. The Brazilian superstar has failed to live up to his potential. Moreover, his downfall only began after he started living it up during his time at Paris Saint-Germain.
