Manchester United’s Andre Onana seems fine despite being omitted from Cameroon’s starting XI
Manchester United’s Andre Onana has been having a rough time at AFCON this month. It all started when the Cameroon international took a flight immediately after the Tottenham game, to feature for his country.
Unfortunately for him, the coach decided to bench him for that game. Moreover, when he did get his shot during the second game, in true Onana fashion he conceded three goals and his team eventually lost the game.
However his worst fears came true only yesterday, the 27-year-old was omitted from the team for a must-win game. If Cameroon had lost they would have been out of the AFCON, Thanks to a late goal from Christopher Wooh, the team survived.
Despite being sat on the bench for such an important game, Onana seemed to be in good spirits. However, it can also be said that he didn’t make a fuss because he doesn’t wanna look unprofessional.
Regardless of what it was, Onana looked happy and cheered for his team throughout the entirety of the game. Cameroon have successfully made it out of the group stage at AFCON.
This means that the Cameroonian goalkeeper will not be coming back to Manchester United any time soon. Altay Bayindir will be happy to hear the news as he may finally get to make his debut for the Red Devils.
