Fabrizio Romano confirms that Manchester United starlet will be joining Sevilla
As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, 2003-born striker Mateo Mejia will leave Manchester United to join Spanish side Sevilla on a permanent transfer. He will be leaving the club for free.
The Colombian national was out of contract in June and an extension was looking unlikely. The Red Devils are not losing out on a lot of money by letting Mejia go for free. Moreover, the team will have a 25% sell-on clause for the 20-year-old.
After Sergi Reguilon and Jadon Sancho, Mateo Mejia is now the third person to leave Manchester United during January. Hannibal Mejbri is expected to be next as Sevilla are inching closer to a loan deal.
Mejia has been very impressive for the U-21 team, through 12 appearances this season the young starlet has recorded three goals and five assists. Speaking of assists, Jadon Sancho has already sprung back to life with Dortmund.
Despite not having played since September, Sancho made his second debut for the German side yesterday. He impressed everyone as he picked up an assist for the team in just 35 minutes of play.
While it looks like Manchester United are doing worse by the day, everyone that they send away from the club seems to be doing better. Even Mason Greenwood who has been away at Getafe has also been impressive this season.

Now that the team is done offloading players, hopefully, some new arrivals are on their way. Fans would love nothing more than to see this team sign a quality player.
