Hannibal Mejbri’s move from Manchester United to Sevilla might be hijacked by rival PL club
Manchester United’s young star Hannibal Mejbri is highly rated by members of the club. However, even though the club recognises his potential, they don’t give him a lot of chances to display it.
The 20-year-old has fallen down Ten Hag’s pecking order and has had to fight for opportunities. He has only made 10 appearances this season and has even recorded a goal for the team during that time (Transfermarkt).
While it’s good to have a player like Mejbri for backup, a lack of playing time will ultimately stunt his growth. With this in mind, Manchester United after previously extending his contract by one additional year are now looking to send him out on a loan deal.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the player has decided to join La Liga side Sevilla on loan this summer. We have seen how good Mason Greenwood has done in the Spanish League, hopefully, Mejbri will follow in his footsteps.
However, it has also been reported that Premier League side Everton are looking to highjack Sevilla’s deal. Ultimately, Mejbri will be playing in the Premier League so this could be a good move.
The choice is up to Hannibal now and he must decide between the two teams. Playing in the Premier League will help him get comfortable there, but a move to La Liga will expose him to a different brand of football. Both are pivotal for his growth.
