Ten Hag reveals what he talked about with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, comments strongly hint at his Manchester United future

Erik Ten Hag sheds some light on his conversation with Sir Jim Ratcliffe as he hints at his future at Manchester United.

The future hasn’t looked very secure for Erik Ten Hag since Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS arrived at Old Trafford. There has been a lot of talk about an imminent axe that is headed for the Dutchman’s head.

Manchester United have not even been close to what they were last season under Erik Ten Hag. The team is already out of Europe, they have been thrown out of the Carabao Cup and are already sitting at 14 losses across all competitions.

However, according to the Manchester United manager himself, the future is looking positive. As revealed by The Sun, Sir Jim and Ten Hag spoke to each other and are apparently “on the same page”.

Let’s look at what Erik Ten Hag had to say about his encounter with Sir Jim Ratcliffe. (h\t The Sun)

“Very positive, I have to say. We had a long meeting, for many hours we sat together. On many issues, we were on the same page, very positive from both sides.”

Ten Hag then said that the meeting was very positive and the two are looking forward to working with each other. All signs point toward a bright future at Old Trafford.

Now, that the coach is on the same page with management we can expect the team’s transfer season activities to ramp up. So far the team has only been looking after their internal affairs as they sort out contracts.

This has been concerning for the fans who are desperate for some new signings. Fortunately, the chances of a new deal being made are now higher than ever. The team is already being linked to a move for Atlanta BC star, Giorgio Scalvini.
