Getafe inform Manchester United of £40m intention after Mason Greenwood interest

Getafe has approached Manchester United with a £40m offer for club outcast Mason Greenwood.

Everyone who follows football is aware of the Mason Greenwood saga at Manchester United. Back in 2022, the 22-year-old winger was ousted from the squad after being charged with charges of rape and assault.

Shortly afterwards, all charges against Greenwood were e dropped and there was talk going around of his return to the Manchester United first team. However, the team decided against bringing him back after facing backlash online.

He has since been on loan at Getafe and what a time it has been for the English national. His spell with the La Liga side has reminded the fans of the player’s quality.

His performance at Getafe has been so good that the club approached Manchester United with a £40m offer in hand, as reported by The Sun. However, it looks like the player will be heading back to Old Trafford soon.

According to multiple reports, INEOS has rejected all offers for Mason Greenwood. With that being said it looks like the player will be heading back to Manchester United soon.

It isn’t just Getafe that has liked what they’ve been seeing from Mason Greenwood. An Old Trafford comeback seems to be in the books for the 22-year-old English winger.
