Ten Hag praises opponent Bayern Munich after the Bavarians brought an end to their UCL campaign
Erik Ten Hag and his men exited the UCL on Tuesday at the hands of Bayern Munich. Manchester United’s disastrous Champions League campaign ended after The Bavarians pulled away with the game.
When asked about the match the Dutchman spoke about the future with optimism. Being graceful in defeat, he even went on to praise Bayern Munich by calling them a good team.
Most importantly, Ten Hag took it upon himself and made some comments that his players would be happy to hear. This will go a long way towards motivating the team as they now turn their sights towards the Premier League.
Instead of shifting the blame on his players or calling anyone out Ten Hag instead chose to compliment his opponents at Bayern Munich. Here’s what the Dutchman had to say about his opponents. (h/t Eurosport).
“But although we played against a strong side, we have to see that as well – Bayern are a good team.”
Ten Hag himself must be under enormous pressure, but he has stood his ground and has had his team’s back throughout everything.
It is an extremely welcome sight to see someone in his situation not be sad about the outcome but instead look to the future with optimism. Fans will surely be happy about the Dutchman’s attitude regarding the entire situation.
