Former Danish international player Michael Laudrup was impressed with the result when FC Copenhagen defeated Manchester United
According to the Danish outlet Tipsbladet, former Danish international player Michael Laudrup was awestruck with the 4-3 result that helped FC Copenhagen win against Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League.
Manchester United are once again bottom of the group table having won only one game out of the four games played. Everything seemed to go United’s way until Marcus Rashford’s silly challenge got him a red card.
Laudrup says after the game (Viaplay) :
“There are several aspects to it. The first is the result. That you win 4-3 over Manchester United, but the whole game was atypical in many ways. Crazy, if we can call it that.”
“You are completely gone, and then a red card comes. You are back 2-2 and have momentum. Then second half, there condition. Then you will fall far behind, even if you are a man more. And then it ends with two goals at the end. It is a really wild match, I would say.”
The game’s turning point was Marcus Rashford’s sending off, and opinions on whether or not he deserved to be sent off were divided. With a studs-first challenge, Rashford put his opponent in peril even if it didn’t seem to be his objective.
Manchester United has not witnessed a red card affect a Champions League match so much since Nani in 2013.
However, in contrast to that Real Madrid game where the tie got away from us, United managed to take back control of this one and looked strong going into the final ten to fifteen minutes. The club began to falter under pressure and currently sits bottom of the group as the same old defensive mistakes reappeared.
Ten Hag made the Red Devils’ defence a priority and had a great first season with the team. In the previous Premier League season, United maintained the most clean sheets. But in the first 17 games of the season across all competitions, United have conceded 30 goals.
Now, it seems that Ten Hag has the difficult duty of coming up with ideas to help United reach its minimal goals for the upcoming season. United’s offensive play has been lacklustre, and our defence has appeared to be entirely exposed.
