Manchester United have contacted Galatasaray for Sacha Boey
Manchester United have earmarked the right-back spot as one that needs reinforcement in the summer of 2024 and Galatasaray star Sacha Boey is one player who is on their radar.
The 23-year-old has been at the Turkish giants since 2021 and is steadily building up a reputation as a reliable right-back. A versatile player, Boey can don both attacking and defensive roles with equal gusto, making him a modern-day full-back.
More so, he can also play on the other flank if needed. If anything, this at the very least, will give Erik ten Hag options should Manchester United manage to secure the Frenchman’s signature.

According to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins via X (h/t Manchester Evening News), the Red Devils have already enquired about the 23-year-old ahead of a potential 2024 transfer bid.
The right-back spot is one that could do with a revamp given what we have seen over the past few years. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is defensively solid but has not developed as expected. While Diogo Dalot continues to get the nod from Ten Hag, the truth remains that he is limited as a footballer and United have no better option in their ranks to swap him out with.
With the wingers at Old Trafford struggling with issues on and off the field, the lack of width has become a serious issue this season. With the full-backs also unable to push forward, the club has been forced to focus on narrow avenues of attack with minimal success.
Boey has strong defensive abilities, including good tackling, intercepting, and marking- all traits that make down a solid defensive star. At 23, he is also still developing and should only get better with time under the right mentorship.
A speedy presence down the flank, Boey is not averse to putting in the hard work either. Whether that will be enough to plug United’s deficiencies in that role remains to be seen.

Despite millions being pumped in, the Manchester United rebuild is far from solid at this point in time. Boey is now the new name on our list and it remains to be seen just how serious the club is about landing him. Either way, we hope he turns out to be a better purchase than some of the others we have brought in of late.
