Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford partied at a nightclub after the humiliating Manchester derby loss
Out-of-form Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford had a late-night celebration with his friends after the Manchester derby loss. The Red Devils suffered a humiliating 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the Premier League derby game at Old Trafford.
The Citizens dominated United throughout the game while registering 21 shots with 10 on target. Whereas, United managed to muster a total of seven shots with only three on target, frustrating the Old Trafford crowd.
After another disappointing performance, the Manchester United manager substituted Rashford for Anthony Martial in the 86th minute of the game. The Red Devils fans cheered the substitution as they’ve grown visibly frustrated with the 26-year-old’s inconsistencies.
The England international is playing his ninth season in the senior level at United after earning promotion from the academy. Many fans and pundits thought that Rashford was finally fulfilling his potential after his prolific display last season.
However, the Englishman has regressed to his usual inconsistencies this season that keep him away from reaching greatness. Rashford has appeared in 13 games for United in all competitions while contributing with one goal and three assists.
Telegraph reported that Rashford attended the popular Chinawhite nightspot in Manchester city centre with his friends right after the game. The England international celebrated his birthday until past midnight with the celebration reportedly arranged before United’s Manchester derby loss.
The 26-year-old reported on time for the training session scheduled for the next morning despite the late celebration. It is unclear how United manager Erik ten Hag view the discretion even though Rashford has not broken any guidelines. The United manager has a very high set of standards for training and a very strict disciplinary record.
The United boss publicly condemned the training performance of Jadon Sancho while dropping him from the matchday squad against Arsenal. United banished Sancho from the first-team facility after he publicly criticized Ten Hag for using him as a scapegoat. The former Dortmund star accused the Dutchman of having double standards and favouritism towards certain players.

Critics have heavily chastised Rashford for his subpar performances and minimal contributions to the team.The England international has been one-dimensional in his style as he overly relies on cutting inside and shooting. The 26-year-old can add more style to his play to become more unpredictable for the opponents to read. Furthermore, it will help him assist his teammates when they are in a better position to score.
Whether Ten Hag will take disciplinary action regarding Rashford‘s off-field activities remains uncertain. Nevertheless, Rashford’s personal life should not be a basis for judgment. The 26-year-old must improve his on-field performances to justify his substantial wages, as observers deem his current output unacceptable.
