Manchester United legend Roy Keane has his say after Manchester Derby ends in City’s favour
Giving an interview with the BBC, Manchester United legend Roy Keane was devastated by the way his team performed and why wouldn’t he. This game was a perfect opportunity to show tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton who passed away recently and United just threw it away.
Manchester United lost 3-0 in the Manchester Derby. Manchester City had players all over the pitch, keeping us from taking advantage of any scoring opportunities. We are still in eighth place in the league, therefore the outcome has once again kept us from moving up the standings.
Keane said:
“It’s different levels. The United players are just short in every aspect. Technically and tactically. It’s a long way back for this team.”
At the interval, Sofyan Amrabat was hooked once again. The requirements to represent Manchester United do not include playing for the manager previously, excelling in an international competition, or having the same agent as the manager. The game shows every sign where we are lacking.
The mutiny is simmering now. Just like against Brighton last month, there were jeers when Rasmus Hojlund was substituted. It felt more significant this time. Things like this need to be stopped.
Playing in his first Old Trafford derby since October 2011, Evans bought the decoy run that allowed Erling Haaland to nod in the six-yard box uncontested. Haaland teed up Phil Foden, and Jonny Evans was caught off guard.
Everything appeared to go their way immediately, beginning with the contentious penalty. Although it appeared to be a delicate foul, there’s no need to continue moping about it. Since nobody displayed any symptoms of desperation to get back on the scoresheet, Keane is perfectly justified in criticising the team.

On a positive note, Andre Onana was once again phenomenal. It seems he’s coming back to his form and we hope he improves himself even further. Now that things are already done, Keane and fans might hope we win the upcoming crucial games and pave our way into the top four and the knockout stages of the Premier League and the UCL respectively.
