Liverpool Jarrod Bowen grew up watching David Beckham and even supported Manchester United
According to Sky Sports (h/t Manchester Evening News), West Ham United talisman and Liverpool target Jarrod Bowen grew up watching our legend David Beckham and also supported the Red Devils.
In recent years, Bowen has become one of the Premier League’s rising prospects after his success at West Ham United. In just nine league games this season, the winger has scored six goals; during his previous two campaigns, he has scored 31 goals.
Bowen would be a very good player to target, and it turns out that his favourite player, David Beckham, made him a fan of the Red Devils growing up.Surely, being offered the opportunity to don the same famous red jersey might prove tempting.
Bowen’s revelations are particularly curious given the links to Liverpool. The Englishman could be a target for the Reds should Mohamed Salah leave. Manchester United also need a reliable right-winger and Bowen given his experience and skill could develop into a major asset for us.
David Beckham was a key player for us during his time at Old Trafford and Bowen could replicate his impact at the club. After all, moving in his idol’s footprints could be a game come true.
“The team I grew up supporting? Man United. I loved David Beckham.”
This month, Bowen re-signed a seven-year contract with West Ham, declaring that he intended to play for the team for the remainder of his career.
Under Sir Alex Ferguson, the team achieved the first-ever triple in English history. Back then, Beckham had an enormous fan base and an unrivalled impact. Beckham, who is renowned for his inch-perfect crosses and curving free kicks, helped United win games throughout the years.

One of the many unexpected outcomes from the previous season was West Ham’s conference league victory. In 2012, the team took home its first major prize, and Bowen was a big factor in that victory. However, he can only achieve so much at the London Stadium. A move to Manchester United can open up new avenues for all sides.
