Fabrizio Romano: Manchester United coaching team are upset with Jadon Sancho
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has exclusively revealed to Givemesport that the Manchester United coaching team is unhappy with Jadon Sancho since the conflict with manager Erik ten Hag.
Following criticism over his behaviour and output during practice, the Red Devils player hasn’t taken to the field for the Manchester giants in nearly two months. His outburst against Erik ten Hag has seen him fall further down the pecking order, with even an exit mooted.
The winger has received internal discipline from Man Utd, but Ten Hag and Sancho are still at odds because the player’s future with the team is still up in the air. The former Borussia Dortmund star needs to weigh his options as the 2024 winter transfer window approaches.
Now Fabrizio Romano has opened up on the developments in the situation at Old Trafford. Here is what he said:
” Think with days passing, it’s obvious that he had the chance to apologise in September and October. Now we are moving into the second half of the first half of the season, and it looks like a challenging situation because if he had the chance to apologise in September, then this story could already have been resolved, and Sancho would be with the squad. But that is not the case. Sancho is not apologising, and people in the coaching staff are not happy at all with that.”
Sancho’s defiance resulted in a ban from the first-team facility by the Red Devils. The 23-year-old isn’t giving up his position and is not ready to apologise to the manager. After Sancho signed for the Red Devils, his production hasn’t been as high. With 82 appearances across all competitions, the Englishman has only 12 goals and six assists for United.
We believe that it would be good for the parties involved to go their separate ways. It will be extremely costly for United to lose Sancho, who continues to draw a mammoth salary. The quicker we can get him off our books, the better.
Nevertheless, Sancho is at a stage of his career where he has to play regularly and to become an accomplished player. He is just 23 years old and will need to seek a new challenge elsewhere to get his career back on track.

After his outstanding performance in the Bundesliga, Sancho was signed by United in the summer of 2021 from German team Borussia Dortmund. The England international made 137 appearances with Dortmund, scoring 50 goals and dishing out 64 assists in all competitions. To say he has fallen well short of expectations would be an understatement.
