Two unnamed clubs are in the race to sign the Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho
According to the journalist Rudy Galleti who he writes for his column Tribal Football (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is in major doubt about representing our club in the future. However, two unnamed clubs are interested in the young man to help their team bolster their attack.
But, Galleti believes that FC Barcelona and Juventus can be the two clubs fighting to catch hold of the talented winger.
It appears that his time at Old Trafford is done, at least until Erik ten Hag takes over as manager. With three seasons remaining on his United contract (Transfermarkt), Sancho will likely depart the team in 2024 as there is no indication that the deadlock will be resolved.
For him, going on loan to Juventus may be a fantastic opportunity. He will benefit from more playing time and confidence, and by the time he rejoins our team, the circumstances may have changed. This season, Sancho has only played 76 minutes in three substitute appearances.
Following a public argument with the winger, Erik ten Hag has since dropped the player entirely.
Dortmund had been the early favourites to acquire Sancho again, but it’s rumoured that the winger would rather return to Signal Iduna Park and try to revive his career in Serie A. Barcelona are an option too.
Barcelona might think that Sancho may make a significant impact on the left wing, where the Catalan team currently lacks depth due to the exits of Ansu Fati to Brighton and Abde Ezzalzouli to Real Betis.
However, given the Catalan club’s continuous financial struggles, a deal for the winger might prove to be tricky. Sancho makes about £290,000 a week at Old Trafford. If he were to move to the Nou Camp, the Premier League team would allegedly have to pay the majority of his salary.
