Manchester United face competition from Liverpool for Antonio Silva
As per 90min (h/t Express) Manchester United are facing direct competition from Liverpool as both teams were scouting Benfica’s defender António Silva.
The scouts of both clubs were present during Portugal vs. Slovakia in their Euro 2024 qualifier. At just 19 years old, Silva made his fourth first-team appearance for Portugal against Slovakia. The 6-foot-2-inch-tall defender appeared comfortable as his team maintained a clean sheet.
Scouts from Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Atlético Madrid were also reportedly in attendance.

The Portuguese international, amassing experience, made 49 Benfica appearances so far, scoring five goals during his time with the club.
The highly talented youngster, renowned for his no-nonsense defending, possesses physical strength, and a right-footed approach, and excels with his high tackling accuracy.
In the current season, Silva has played all four games for Benfica while boasting 4.3 tackles per game. The 19-year-old is also known for his ability to comfortably play with the ball from the back. His passing percentage is currently at 94.9% this season while he played 2.3 long balls per game.

Silva is definitely a one-of-a-kind talent who will attract clubs from all over Europe when he decides to leave Liga Portugal for a more competitive league.
