Manchester United striker delivers a passionate megaphone speech after Denmark make a significant step towards securing their place in Euros 2024
Rasmus Hojlund, despite having played just 30 minutes of football for Manchester United, seems to have already earned the support and admiration of the club’s fans.
This is evident from the positive response to his enthusiastic megaphone speech to Denmark supporters.
The new £72 million-rated star made a cameo appearance as a substitute during Denmark’s 1-0 victory over Finland. This victory puts them in a favourable position to qualify for Euro 2024, as they currently lead Group H.
After the match concluded, Hojlund was eager to express his gratitude to the fans. He headed towards the away supporters section, holding a megaphone, and conveyed his confidence that the national team would secure a spot in next year’s major tournament in Germany.
When asked about his dream to lead the speech after the victory, the former Atalanta ace said that he always looked forward to it. While speaking to Bold.dk (as quoted by the Manchester Evening News), he said:
“I think so. I have always stood in the stands when I was little at FCK (Copenhagen) matches and national matches. It was super cool. It was a bit of a boyhood dream, and it was nice enough to grab the megaphone and talk to the fans out there.”
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg scored the vital goal for Denmark, helping them reach a total of 13 points at the end of the weekend. This puts them on par with the leading team, Slovenia, and one point ahead of their rivals, Finland.
In a previous match in Copenhagen in March, the young striker had a standout performance by scoring all three goals in a 3-1 victory, which happened to be his first starting appearance for Denmark.
Hojlund, who managed to score 10 goals in 34 games while playing for his former club, Atalanta, has already provided Man United fans with a glimpse of his potential.
The youngster’s sole appearance for the Red Devils occurred during the recent 3-1 loss to Arsenal towards the end of last month.
Despite his new team’s inability to secure any points in that match, the striker left a positive impression with his brief stint on the pitch, causing problems for Arsenal’s defence.
United’s captain, Bruno Fernandes, has also spoken positively about his new teammate, indicating that the former Serie A ace has already left a mark in the Red Devils’ locker room.
With the first international break of the season behind them, United’s next Premier League match will be a home fixture against Brighton this Saturday. The fans will expect the Danish ace to make a brief appearance in this game, marking his debut in front of the Old Trafford crowd.
Hojlund‘s megaphone speech just reaffirms his deep passion for football and his genuine concern for the fans who support him.
He has already established a strong connection with the supporters, and it’s highly likely that he will become a favourite among them in no time.
The chances of witnessing his first goal in front of Stretford End is something special to look forward to, isn’t it?

In the short term, it’s important to give Hojlund the time he needs to develop at his own pace. At 20 years old, he is still relatively inexperienced in football terms, and as fans, we should show patience.
There’s great potential for him to become an outstanding player for our team in the long run.
