Northern Ireland’s 14-year-old prodigy, Coran Madden, has decided to undergo trials at Manchester United

According to Belfast Live (h/t the Express), Manchester United are set to take promising youngster Coran Madden on trial as the club continues to look to Northern Ireland for fresh talent.

United’s commitment to recruiting top young players from the UK continues, as they are now focusing on Madden, a highly-rated teenage prospect from Cliftonville.

Madden has selected Man United and Newcastle as the two academies where he’s allowed to undertake trials.

His talent has garnered significant recognition in Northern Ireland, where the Red Devils had the opportunity to closely observe his abilities during the recent SuperCupNI event.

At just 14 years old, Madden is a member of Cliftonville’s academy, representing one of the country’s most prominent clubs.

His versatility is evident as he can excel in various positions across the forward line, including the number 10 role, left-wing, and right-wing.

Considered the most exceptional young talent in the nation, he recently earned recognition as the standout player of the tournament at this year’s SuperCupNI.

Dubbed the ‘Golden Child,’ the young attacker aims to speed up his development by securing a transfer to an English club.

The Red Devils are planning to extend an invitation to the player, who will participate in academy matches within his age group.

United’s achievement in convincing Madden to a trial at Carrington is a good sign for the academy, especially considering the competition from rivals Manchester City and Everton.

This move is aimed at thoroughly assessing his abilities. If both the club and the player express a mutual interest in pursuing a deal, United will explore the possibility of securing his services.

The club’s aim to sign top young talents is there to see, considering their track record of nurturing rising stars.

United’s first team is reaping the benefits of its emerging potential. Players like Alejandro Garnacho have already made their mark in the senior squad, and Kobbie Mainoo is on a similar trajectory.
