Erik ten Hag reveals Anthony Martial is available for Manchester United vs Wolves
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed that Anthony Martial is available for selection ahead of the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves).
The Red Devils will take on the Molineux Stadium side at home on Monday (14 August) in the Premier League. It will be our first competitive game of the 2023/24 term.
Speaking to the media via Metro, Ten Hag is not concerned about the unavailability of Rasmus Hojlund and disclosed that the French national will be back in amongst the team for the Old Trafford side after missing all of pre-season.

“I’m quite calm, composed in this situation, because Rashy is very good as a striker, we have seen it last Saturday. Anthony Martial is available as well. Jadon Sancho can play there as well, he did it in pre-season very well. The squad can deal with it, as I already said this. There is a strategy behind it.”
United will be without their new signing from Atalanta as he is on the sidelines for now. The 20-year-old arrived from the Bergamo-based club in the ongoing transfer window but is yet to play a minute in the Red Devils’ shirt.
As a result, we are once again left with a shortage of strikers in our ranks. Hojlund was bought to bolster the forward line, but his absence is a big blow.
Martial is the only other natural number nine in the Old Trafford side’s ranks. However, the 27-year-old has had his fair share of injury issues in the last few months.

The French national was not a reliable outlet for Ten Hag in the 2022/23 term due to his constant fitness issues. As a result, Marcus Rashford was deployed up top on several occasions.
During the recent friendly matches, the gaffer has also experimented with playing Jadon Sancho as the striker. The former Borussia Dortmund star has struggled at the Old Trafford side since being signed in the summer of 2021.
