Aston Villa consider summer approach for Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho
Manchester United star Jadon Sancho is being eyed by Premier League rivals Aston Villa in the ongoing transfer window, according to Caught Offside (h/t Manchester Evening News).
As things stand, the Villans are keeping tabs on the forward’s situation at the Old Trafford side. To that end, the Lions are thinking about making a late approach to acquire the England international’s services this summer.
Recently, the Birmingham-based club lost Emi Buendia to a serious knee injury. It remains to be seen how long the Argentine will be out for.

Unai Emery has turned things around admirably since replacing Steven Gerrard. The Spaniard joined the Villans from Villarreal when they were in a relegation scrap last season. However, the Lions ended up finishing seventh in the league table.
Sancho signed for United in the summer of 2020 from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million. But the winger has not been able to live up to the price tag.
In the previous campaign, the 23-year-old started off bright but was unable to maintain consistency. Subsequently, he was on the sidelines for around three months after Erik ten Hag placed him on an individual training programme.

United heavily relied on Antony on the right-hand side of the attack last season. The Dutch manager reunited with his former Ajax Amsterdam star last summer and kept his faith in him.
As a result, Sancho was mostly seen playing on the left-hand side of the attack. For a brief period, the gaffer also tried to deploy the forward in the number 10 role.

The English national has had two underwhelming years at the Old Trafford side. Therefore, if he does end up staying, the 2023/24 term seems like make or break for the former Dortmund star.
