Tottenham Hotspur eye Gent striker Gift Orban amidst Manchester United interest
Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Gent striker Gift Orban amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Het Nieuwsblad (h/t The Sun).
Spurs could make a move for the Nigeria international to reinforce their attack this summer. As things stand, the future of the North London side’s talisman, Harry Kane, is uncertain.
Bayern Munich are looking to acquire the services of the England international in the ongoing transfer window. The Bavarians are optimistic about landing the Lilywhites’ record goalscorer in the coming weeks.
As a result, Tottenham have Orban on their radar. But the Red Devils have also been linked with the 21-year-old. Chelsea are another team from the English top flight keeping tabs on him.
LOSC Lille are also monitoring the Nigerian. Should they lose Jonathan David, the Ligue 1 outfit are hoping to replace the Canadian with the Belgian outfit’ striker.
Orban established himself at Staebaek in Norway before moving to Gent. In Belgium last season, the youngster scored 20 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions.
Tottenham will have Riharlison in their ranks if Kane were to leave. As for United, we only have Anthony Martial at our disposal for now for the number nine position. Unfortunately, the French national has been injury prone since Erik ten Hag’s arrival in Manchester.
However, the Red Devils are close to securing the signature of Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta, as per the Manchester Evening News. Hopefully, the Danish national will add much-needed depth to our attack.
