Ivory Coast sensation Amad Diallo provides worrying injury development for Manchester United
As revealed by renowned journalist Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United’s young talent, Amad Diallo, seemingly suffered an injury against Arsenal, as he was seen leaving the stadium on crutches.
The African ace was forced to be substituted just 13 minutes after entering the game due to an injury during United’s intense 2-0 pre-season victory against the Gunners.
The Premier League giants faced off at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in a largely positive display for Erik ten Hag’s team. The sight of Diallo leaving on crutches is undoubtedly a disappointing moment for the fans.

Having made a positive impact on loan with Sunderland last season, the 21-year-old was given the chance to feature against Arsenal at halftime.
Unfortunately, Diallo’s injury prevented him from getting involved in the game, as he hurt his ankle during the contest, according to the Manchester Evening News.
During the match, the former Atalanta ace experienced slight discomfort and went down in the 55th minute despite no contact from any other player.
Medics assisted him off the pitch, and he hobbled away before being officially substituted four minutes later. Facundo Pellistri was the player chosen to replace the youngster.
A video shared on social media by Luckhurst showed the winger being taken to another location via a golf buggy for further assessment or treatment.
Diallo’s injury comes as a significant setback for the young player, as he was facing the most crucial preseason of his career.
After impressing during his loan spell at Sunderland in the Championship, fans were eagerly anticipating his performance in the United jersey, and he had shown promising form in pre-season matches.
There were high hopes for Diallo to establish himself as a key member of the first-team squad. However, with the injury, it appears he may only be able to return to action once the competitive matches begin.

Also, the potential signing of a new striker may add to the competition for attacking positions in the team. Hence, the African star could lose valuable game time with the first-team squad.
Meanwhile, in the winger’s place, Pellistri showcased some promising touches, although he missed a late opportunity to score.
Man United are eager for Diallo‘s swift recovery so that they can make decisions about his future. An injured player cannot pass the medical examination required for a loan move, so his recovery will be crucial in determining his next steps.
