Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo is attracting interest from Leicester City this summer as a replacement for Harvey Barnes, according to the Daily Mail (h/t Manchester Evening News).

The Foxes were relegated from the Premier League last season and have subsequently lost some of their big stars like Youri Tielemens and James Maddison. Their top goalscorer from the previous campaign is also being linked with an exit.

Newcastle United and West Ham United have Barnes on their radar. The English national, 25, found the back of the net 13 times in 34 appearances for the King Power Stadium side in the English top flight in the 2022/23 term.

Now, Leicester are eyeing a move for Amad to bolster their ranks. The 21-year-old flourished in the Championship last season on loan at Sunderland. The Ivory Coast international was a pivotal player in the Black Cats’ success.

However, the Foxes are not the only team looking to acquire the services of the youngster. In the PL, Burnley and Sheffield United also have the forward on their radar.

As things stand, United are planning to examine Amad during pre-season. The Ivorian featured for the Red Devils in the 2-0 win over Leeds United in Norway recently.

The 21-year-old signed for the Old Trafford side in January 2021. Unfortunately, since then, the forward has found game time hard to come by at the Manchester-based club.

Amad even had a stint on a temporary move at Rangers. However, the 21-year-old struggled in Scotland. Thankfully, the youngster was able to further his development at Sunderland.
