According to the Guardian, Manchester United are said to be one of the clubs expressing interest in Red Bull Salzburg wonderkid Oscar Gloukh this summer.

Gloukh has played an important part in the success of the Israel Under-21 team, which reached the semi-finals of the ongoing European Under-21 Championships.

During the group stage, Gloukh provided assists for both of Israel’s goals, helping them advance with four points. In the quarterfinal match against Georgia, he scored the decisive penalty in the shootout, securing Israel’s victory.

The 19-year-old’s impressive performances have attracted the attention of several top clubs, including Man United, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Gloukh, who recently joined Red Bull Salzburg from Maccabi Tel-Aviv, has a chance to showcase his skills once again in the upcoming match against England in the European Under-21 Championships.

This fixture presents an opportunity for clubs to observe the 19-year-old midfielder and assess his potential.

The midfielder’s reputation began to grow during the previous year’s Under-19 European Championship, where he made an impact by scoring three goals and helping Israel reach the final, although they ultimately lost to England.

Following his impressive performances, Gloukh continued to shine at Maccabi Tel-Aviv, contributing six goals and seven assists in 18 domestic matches at the beginning of the 2022-23 season. As a result, Red Bull Salzburg invested €7 million to acquire his services during the winter transfer window.

Gloukh has demonstrated promise not only at the youth level but also on the international stage, earning six senior caps for Israel. He notably scored a last-minute winner directly from a corner in a recent Euro 2024 qualifier against Belarus, contributing to Israel’s comeback victory.

With his performances catching the attention of clubs, it is expected that RB Leipzig, Salzburg’s sister club, would also express interest in the player, as they have done with other key Salzburg players, such as Benjamin Sesko.

However, the report suggests that Gloukh is particularly drawn to a potential transfer to either the Premier League or La Liga, indicating his preference for these competitive leagues.

However, the Israeli star recently admitted that his dream is to play for Spanish giants Real Madrid. The young midfielder excels when playing in central positions, where his technical skills and agility are evident. He is equally adept with both feet and often shows a preference for quick moves.

Gloukh has already demonstrated an impressive level of productivity during his time at Maccabi Tel Aviv, highlighting his ability to contribute significantly to his former club.

The current generation of Israeli footballers are being hailed as a golden one, with the 19-year-old standing out as the undisputed star.

Man United may need to act swiftly if they wish to secure Gloukh’s services, as there is considerable interest in the talented midfielder from clubs across Europe.

Given the youngster’s technical abilities, he would be a logical addition to a team led by coach Erik ten Hag, who has previously shown a willingness to trust and develop talented but inexperienced young players during his time at Ajax Amsterdam .

The Israeli star could be a decent understudy to Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese maestro will reach 30 soon and requires an equal amount of rest.
