Feyenoord shot-stopper Justin Bijlow ‘not for sale’ amidst Manchester United interest
Justin Bijlow, who currently plays for Feyenoord, is ‘not for sale’ amidst interest from Manchester United this summer, according to Voetbal International (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The 25-year-old has long been on the Red Devils’ radar. As per The Athletic, the Old Trafford side had recently gotten in touch with the Eredivisie outfit regarding acquiring the goalkeeper’s services.
However, it looks like the Rotterdam-based club have no intention of parting ways with the Holland international as of yet. His current contract at Arne Slot’s team runs until June 2025 (transfermarkt).
Erik ten Hag is looking to sign a new shot-stopper soon. A number of teams have their eyes on Bijlow. But Feyenoord want to keep a hold of the 25-year-old in the ongoing transfer window.
The Holland international made his way through the youth ranks at the Rotterdam-based club. For a few seasons now, the goalkeeper has been the number one at the Eredivisie outfit.
Unfortunately, fitness issues have niggled Bijlow over the years. As a result, the 25-year-old does not instil a lot of confidence.
At United, with David de Gea’s contract expiring, our situation in between the sticks ahead of next season is uncertain. In the previous campaign, the Spaniard was Ten Hag’s first choice.
Unfortunately, the 32-year-old left a lot to be desired on occasions. For now, Dean Henderson and Tom Heaton are the only two senior goalkeepers in our ranks. Therefore, we evidently need to add reinforcements in that department.

However, Bijlow is still inexperienced. While he was key to Slot’s Eredivisie-winning team last season, the 25-year-old missed most of the second half of the campaign due to injury. But whether the Rotterdam-based club’s stance on the Holland international’s departure changes remains to be seen.
